Hi everyone,
I am a 41 year old mom to a 14 month old adorable sensory seeker. I never heard of SPD until my litttle man was diagnosed. I also have two adult children that have been very helpful and supportive of their little brother. I have to admit I am a bit terrified of not knowing what is going to happen next.Justin has been working with a OT for three months now and has made great progress especially with his eating. I hope to be able to share and learn from the knowledge on this board. I think it really helps to have support around us.

Welcome to the group there .
I'm glad to see you've found us, and that your son has supportive older (much older, lol) siblings. I hope you enjoy your stay here and find this board to be a welcoming supportive place.
Since this is a social group, what interests do you have? Anything you'd like to talk about (SPD related or not)? We're here to get to know each other, and offer support through friendship and connections as well as just advice. I hope you enjoy your time here. Best wishes!
Hi, welcome to SPD Support! Have a free cyber hug!

Welcome to the group there .
Thank you D1G1T!! Yes justin's siblings are MUCH older. I have a 22 year old son and a 20 year old daughter. I never thought I would have another child at this age, that's for sure!

Nice to meet you! (waves)
Hehe... nothing like a surprise baby. I think it's wonderful that his older sibs are supportive. I'll bet that helps immensely. I have trouble with eating, too, so I can feel your pain there. I hope they're finding some good things to help you there.
Looking forward to talking to you more!

Thank you Sarah!
We have made great progress as Justin has finally advanced from baby food to minced foods. Yesturday he was able to eat mac & cheese!!! It was a great day of trying new things! We start speech therapy in a few weeks and have met most goals with the physical therapist!
